Special Feature: Tech-Talk Lounge What is it and how will it work?

There were a number of excellent technical abstracts submitted for the conference which were not able to be included as presentations during theTech-Talk concurrent sessions (Session T1 or T2 on the program) .
We have invited the authors of selected technical abstracts to submit a full paper for inclusion in a technical supplement booklet which will be given to
all delegates in their conference satchel.

At the Conference, a lounge space will be set up at the main conference location called the “Tech-Talk Lounge”.
Delegates will be able to make appointments with the authors of the “Tech-Talk” papers (via appointment board) to meet in the lounge to discuss their work with the author, either one-to-one, or in small groups.

The main Tech-Talk lounge sessions will be held during morning tea, lunchand afternoon tea on the Tuesday and Thursday of the Conference (or at any other convenient time arranged by the Tech-Talk author and thedelegate.

Our Tech-Talk Lounge Coordinator will assist delegates to make appointments. The Tech-Talk Lounge will provide a space for the sharing of informationof a more technical nature at the conference. It will also allow authors to have a paper published in the public domain, as part of the conference andpromoted on the conference website and the conference proceedings.

Submitting Your Paper for the Tech Talk Lounge please follow the instructions for presenters (downloaded from this page) for submitting a written paper for the Tech-Talk Supplement Booklet.

Your Tech-Talk Paper, 50 word bio and head and shoulders photograph (no less than 300dpi resolution) should be received no later than 5.00pm Friday 15th February 2008.

If you have NOT been selected to do an audio-visual presentation during a tech talk concurrent session (either T1 or T2) then you will not be required to submit a powerpoint presentation file by the 15th March. If you have any queries regarding the Tech-Talk Lounge and how it operates, please contact Linda Thomas (COnference Manager) linda.thomas@westnet.com.au
